Are you a Healthcare Hustler or a Barakah-aligned Healer?
The difference between sustainable success and untenable work in healthcare

As-salamu alaykum,
Your work in healthcare is not an easy one. The grind of 80-hours plus work-weeks and little to no opportunity to refill your cup before the new week starts is not only unsustainable, it’s a recipe for burnout in this life and a risky path to losing our souls and our akhira in the process.
Before we continue our conversation today, I have an ask of you that will take just 2 minutes—to help you answer the question posed in the newsletter title: “Are you a healthcare hustler or a Barakah-aligned healer?”
Take this brief survey and share your feedback with me at [email protected] in sha Allah.
Now that you’ve taken the quick survey, I wanted to share an opportunity to help you reconnect with the default fitra lifestyle that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was sent to show us, one that sets you up for a life of balance with sustainable success and impact across your healthcare work and more importantly, your life outside of work.
It’s a path to transformation similar to The Resilient Healthcare Worker Program—Elevate with Barakah for Muslim Healthcare Professionals, offered to a broader audience of Modern Muslim Professionals;
It’s called The Barakah Effect Program
My mentor, Mohammed Faris—Founder of the Productive Muslim Company and author of the Barakah Effect Book, talks about the whole idea of Hustle Culture Burnout versus Barakah Centered Success in a recent webinar (watch the replay here).
The webinar details the 7-step transformation framework of the Barakah Effect Program so you can literally take the blueprint and run with it;
Better yet, you can join the next cohort of the program limited to just 50 participants (which will likely fill up super fast!).
The deadline is September 11, 2025.
Why am I sharing this with you?
Well, the answer is simple—one of my intentions for doing the work at SakeenahMD and the Sakeenah Growth Company is to help spread barakah culture across the global healthcare community by Allah’s will.
This is an incredible opportunity for you to experience this first hand with the primary proponent of this framework that has benefitted hundreds if not thousands of muslim professionals at this point. Those of us in healthcare should be at the forefront of embracing this to redesign our individual and collective relationships with healthcare work without compromising our soul and/or our success in this life and the hereafter.
Prophetic Wisdom
Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Take advantage of five before five: your youth before your old age, your health before your illness, your riches before your poverty, your free time before your work, and your life before your death.”
In this hadith, we learn to be people of opportunity and that there’s a significant opportunity cost to not taking action.
We also have to keep in mind the principle of insanity — doing things the same way and expecting a different result—it just doesn’t happen.
So here’s my nudge to you today, check out the Barakah effect program, it just might change your life! That's what happened to me almost 10 years ago now when I took the Barakah Effect Live Workshop in Dallas, Texas.
If you are exploring a curated version for Muslim healthcare professionals, you can also email me at [email protected] and we’ll be sure to follow up with you.
May Allah, the Most High, grant us the courage to take actions that matter today and even more tomorrow towards finding our next best versions for success in this life and the hereafter. Amin.
Sincerely,
Sulyman
