Ramadan Notes #24: Don’t let up just yet!
As-salamu’alaykum,
The check-in session today was a quiet one filled with Dhikr (remembrance), Salawat upon the Prophet Muhammad SAW and du’a (prayers) for you all and the ummah in this challenging time across the globe.
Hopefully this was an indication that folks are doubling down on the final lap or maybe on the flipside I have successfully bored you guys. Whatever the case, I pray that Allah SWT allows us to catch Laylatul Qadr and to pursue His mindfulness in these final days with renewed vigor. Amin
Consider the following self-reflective questions as you renew your intentions for this final lap;
What ritual have you engaged in the past week that has given you the most heartfelt fulfillment? Do more of this to keep your momentum going.
What issues at home or at work are getting in the way of you achieving more in the past week? Think of one thing you will do differently to manage this.
What is the one intention that you are willing to give up everything to achieve in the final days of Ramadan? Let your sincerity drive you to find creative ways to achieve this in sha Allah
Take advantage of the remaining precious moments of this blessed month. We still have two more odd nights and several more hours till we cross the finish line. Let’s make it all count towards our scales of good deeds and our pursuit of mindfulness of Allah this blessed month.
May Allah SWT enable us to persevere in these final days and nights and accept our sincere efforts despite our shortcomings. Amin
Sincerely,
Sulyman
